A pet goldfish named George was so loved by his family in Australia, they dished out the dough needed save him from a tumor.

George, the goldfish with the white patch on his head, is now doing just fine, or “swimmingly” as the hospital said.

REPORTER, PAUL DOWSLEY: “Over the past year, George had developed a large growth on his head.”

DR. TRISTAN RICH: “The fish was having trouble eating, getting around, getting bullied by the other fish.”

GEORGE’S OWNER, PIP JOYCE: “Didn’t join in as much in their afternoon party games and stuff, you know?”

This particular operation was considered “high-risk,” The Washington Post reports.

A rare, deep-sea "goblin shark" caught by Florida shrimp fishermen is only the second of these creatures ever seen in the Gulf of Mexico, scientists say. 

The prehistoric-looking beast, whose pink color and daggerlike teeth earn the shark its name, is usually seen in deep waters off the coast of Japan. On April 19, fisherman Carl Moore and his crewmates were fishing off the coast of Key West, Florida, when they hauled up the 15-foot-long (4.6 meters) shark with a net full of shrimp from 2,000 feet (610 m) of water. They hoisted the animal up and threw it back into the ocean.

"I didn't even know what it was," Moore told The Houston Chronicle. "I didn't get the tape measure out, because that thing's got some wicked teeth, they could do some damage."

Fortunately, Moore was able to take pictures of the creature using the camera on a cellphone he had just bought. The fishermen reported the sighting to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), where shark expert John Carlson was alerted.

Man Ignored Angry Swan Attacks To Rescue Baby Swan

Simon from the Wildlife Aid Foundation received a call about a cygnet (young swan) that found itself in a terrible predicament by getting stuck in a fence. Once near the stuck little swan, Simon had to face an angry cob (male swan) that wouldn't let anybody near his poor baby. As he attempted to get the baby swan free, the cob kept on swiping at him with its powerful wings. Simon wouldn't let it faze him and kindly told the angry male swan "don't be silly" and to "stop it". Which is just the most adorably English thing I've ever heard.
